Promise, OK will be a BIPOC+ community, diversifying in a way that has never been done before. A place where like-minded individuals can come together to support the equality of all People of Color by working together side-by-side to make the necessary changes for Social Justice, Social Equality, and Social Wealth-Building. We have to become a part of that global community and become a partner in sharing its finances and resources. It's no longer a my thing or your thing but an our thing.

COMMUNITY BUILDING
How will TOLESG
cooperative work?
Local Family Business

TOLESG workers will reap in the company’s benefits through us  sharing the profits. The cooperative business component will be wholly owned and managed by its participants. By organizing our business portion as a cooperative, the owner/employees will help make the enterprise's initial investment work for its success and reap benefits. Like all cooperatives, they also share in the risks of the business.

What is the primary purpose
of TOLESG's cooperative?

TOLESG realizes our members and our community, Promise, OK economic, cultural, and social needs. We will have a solid commitment to our unique town and focus on strengthening the society we exist in and serve.

Including our Villages of Promise, OK

Where Villagers, Tribe members, and Strategic Partners come together for a common purpose. We create a feeling of belonging to something bigger than each individual, where we foster team spirit as a sense of community. We establish an atmosphere where all feel welcome. We show compassion and genuinely want to passionately serve others.  By serving others as God served us, our focus is to impact lives, make a difference, and be positive role models whether we are owner, part of the management team, or a villager who is part of the workforce.

We all must fully understand that life is about what we give rather than what we get, and deeply care for this Village that we created.

Have you ever dreamed of owning a business? If so, Promise, OK needs YOU!

We want to solve one of our society’s biggest problems: the lack of wealth-building opportunities and economic injustice when it comes to BIPOC+. As part of our Social Enterprise Empowerment Project, we want to narrow the wealth gap. This opportunity will allow us to do exactly that, create an entire town and community similar to the Tulsa Black Wall Street in the 1920s where minorities can be empowered through business ownership. Sadly, for nearly 100 years, future generations were not able to witness such a thing.  It is so past due, and we are about to change that. Our concept for Promise, OK is designed to open the doors of opportunity and assist each business along the way THRIVE!

Support the Rebuilding of Small Town USA - a BIPOC+ Community

Black Wall Street Re-imagined

Promise, OK UJAMAA initiate is inspired by the Tulsa Black Wall Street Greenwood District; we want to recreate the Black Towns of Oklahoma. At one time, Oklahoma had 52 production all-black towns (more than any other state), and now there are only 13 still in existence today. Our dream is to give Promise, OK, the nostalgic feel and allure of our history.  Our goal is to recreate while re-imagining the community support from neighbors helping and supporting neighbors. Small "mom" and "pop" businesses can grow, survive and thrive.  We have a BHAG plans to bring these changes about in Promise, OK  in several unique and innovative projects.  Learn more about how you can support and be a part of the exciting revitalization of Small Town USA.
